QiSoftware uses header bidding, Google Adsense, and affiliate marketing to facilitate advertising requests on the many areas and subdomains of the site. Other QiSoftware owned online assets, i.e., reginadenisethomas.com, wired-shops.com, etc. use only Google Adsense or affiliate marketing.
Google's Admanager service is utilized to handle most advertising requests for the site, unless the advertising is provided as part of a software services demonstration. See this QiSoftware developed software tool as demonstration of this type of advertising promotion.
QiSoftware's header bidding solution requires the Google Admanager resource. Periodically, the header bidding service (in this case, not a Google service), provides updates for the site's ads.txt file.
What are ads.txt and sellers.json files?
- Authorized Digital Sellers, or ads.txt is an IAB Tech Lab initiative that helps ensure that your digital ad inventory is only sold through sellers (such as AdSense) who you've identified as authorized.
- Sellers.json is an IAB Tech Lab standard that increases transparency in the ads ecosystem and helps to combat fraud. Sellers.json works through a publicly-available file of seller information.
QiSoftware handles all issues related to advertising for its sites, (there is no outside professional service that updates or handles advertising requests), so the recent notice of the sellers.guide resource was a welcome offering to assist with these efforts.
The following illustration shows the current analysis results for
qisoftware.com and the associated ads.txt file.
With the help of the sellers.guide resource, the results for qisoftware.com have risen from 9.6 to 9.8 and allowed for better understanding and/or definition for why line items contained in the ads.txt file may be invalid.
